Reproductive Biology Research strives to integrate the continuum of medical knowledge on women's health issues, from basic science to clinical application, and disseminate that knowledge through educational and service initiatives. This multidisciplinary Center of Excellence in Reproductive Biology Research will be a partnership among scientists, clinical providers, and educators, using multiple and complementary disciplines to address common problems, such as issues of pregnancy, miscarriage, fertility, and complications of pregnancy. Women are representing in greater numbers diseases traditionally identified with men, such as heart disease, stroke, lung cancer, and AIDS. Reproductive Biology Research will consolidate and integrate the very latest in scientific and clinical knowledge through the development of innovative health care, research, and educational programs designed to improve the medical care of women.
